There is an fps drop with 圎nviro in most locations but for me it's only about 5fps and I still get enough frames per second to have a smooth simulation. I have the Drzewiecki Seattle scenery loaded at KSEA as well as ortho scenery. KSEA - Drzewiecki Seattle Airports and Seattle City I went to and chose airports with rain, so there was significant cloud cover and precipitation. Here are the results of a test I just did at various airports. I do not have a significant fps drop with 圎nviro 1.10 on my system. I guess he's one of those who can't see a difference between 20 and 50fps. Perhaps you have found a way to get passed the chronic drop in FPS with X-Enviro even though people with 1080TI's say otherwise. I too have both X-Enviro 1.10 and Active Sky XP and wonder how you can recommend X-Enviro? According to 圎nviro once they finish with the version 1.xx series, they will start working on a version 2.xx which will also cost existing users.
There may be an upgrade price but that is not known. That being said, despite the issues with 圎nviro 1.10 I still prefer it to Active Sky XP under most circumstances.Īlso, Active Sky XP is supposedly working on a newer version which, when released will not be free to existing owners. Hopefully they will be resolved or mitigated with the release of v1.11, but nobody knows at this point. I don't get that effect with 圎nviro 1.10, but it has some issues right now that are being worked on. So when you are below an overcast you can look around and see that the clouds extend equally in all directions and abruptly end, which looks bad. Same weather patterns and same stupid looking cloud radius. Active sky basically looks like the default weather but has enhanced clouds so the clouds look a bit better.
